The SJY Series Walkable Scissor Lift is a mobile, electrically-powered aerial work platform designed for stable, heavy-duty lifting at medium to high heights. Unlike self-propelled lifts, the SJY series is manually pushed (walkable) into position and then powered electrically for lifting operations. This design makes it one of the most economical and versatile options for facilities requiring reliable vertical access without the cost of fully self-propelled equipment.
Manual Mobility, Powered Lifting: The unit is equipped with heavy-duty swivel casters that allow a single operator to push it to the desired location. Once positioned, the scissor mechanism is raised and lowered using an electric hydraulic pump (AC power: 220V/380V, with DC battery or diesel options available). An optional hand pump allows for emergency descent during power outages.
Stable Scissor Mechanism: The lifting structure uses a (hinged) scissor arm design made from high-strength manganese steel rectangular tubing. This provides excellent lateral stability, smooth vertical movement, and the ability to support heavy loads even at full extension.
Comprehensive Safety Systems:
Hydraulic Safety Lock/Burst-Proof Valve: Prevents uncontrolled descent in the event of a hydraulic line failure.
Emergency Manual Descent Valve: Allows the platform to be lowered safely during a power outage.
Overload Protection: Prevents operation if the rated load capacity is exceeded.
Outriggers (on most models): Stabilizing legs that must be deployed before raising the platform to ensure a level and secure base.

Why it fits: Extremely stable platform allows multiple technicians to work together with heavy tools and replacement parts. High load capacity supports substantial material loads.
Tasks: Installing overhead piping (sprinklers, HVAC), electrical conduit and cable trays, ductwork, ceiling grid and tiles, drywall finishing at height, applying texture coatings, installing large signage and cladding.
Why it fits: Large platform can carry an entire work crew plus all necessary materials (pipe lengths, drywall sheets). Stable platform is safer than scaffolding for heavy overhead work. Can be moved manually around the job site as work progresses.
Tasks: Stock picking from high racks (up to 12-14m), inventory auditing, rack inspection and repair, installing overhead conveyors, changing warehouse lighting and ceiling fans.
Why it fits: Narrower models can fit down some warehouse aisles (check specific dimensions against your aisle width). Large platform allows a picker to gather multiple items per trip. Heavy capacity allows loading pallets or bins directly onto the platform.
Tasks: Changing light bulbs in atriums, gymnasiums, auditoriums and convention centers; cleaning high windows and chandeliers; hanging banners and decorations; painting walls and ceilings; repairing signage.
Why it fits: Quiet electric operation suitable for schools, hotels, hospitals, and museums during business hours. Non-marking casters protect finished floors. Manual movement is easy on flat, smooth surfaces.
Tasks: Streetlight and traffic signal maintenance, billboard and sign installation/repair, tree trimming, bridge inspection, exterior building cleaning and painting, stadium light maintenance.
Why it fits: Suitable for outdoor use in calm weather conditions (wind no greater than Beaufort scale 5). Can be loaded onto a truck or trailer and towed between job sites. Some models are available with diesel engines for locations without electrical power.
Tasks: Rigging stage lighting and truss, focusing and adjusting lighting instruments, setting up projection equipment, hanging backdrops and set pieces, camera platform for elevated shots.
Why it fits: Quiet operation does not interfere with performances or filming. Large platform can accommodate multiple crew members or a camera operator with gear. Stable platform allows precise positioning for rigging work.
